Once it was a valley, just inhabited by mountain farmers and their animals, but today it is a trademark for the beauty of Tyrol. Steep rising mountains are part of the fascinating nature, and the Stubaier glacier showes us that we are in the centre of the Alps.

Now there are just a few farmhouses from ancient times still preserved. It is a lot of work to cultivate the fields, so the farmers got less and less but there are still some. We, family Gleirscher, live in our farmhouse called “Ehrenhauser”. We are envied because of our silent but not secluded place. Far away from traffic noise our house is situated near the creek (Ruetz). With a nice walk at the side of this creek the centre of Neustift is reached inbetween 20 minutes. If you prefer to go by bus we are glad to tell you that the bus stop is just 100m from our house. During winter and even in summer our home is starting point for many fascinating hikes in the surrounding woods and mountains. During the winter we have a slope for cross country skiers right at our house. It is lightened up till 22:00 in the evening. Even ways for sledging are easily to reach. Do you have cold feet and wet shoes from the day in the mountains so warm yourself in our comfortable rustic room.
